New requirements for sending and receiving invoices from 01.01.2025

Starting on 1 January 2025, every company based in Germany that generates sales with other domestic companies (B2B) must be able to receive e-invoices. From this date, e-invoices will take precedence over paper invoices. We are already able to receive e-invoices and process them accordingly. From January 2025, we will also send our invoices exclusively as e-invoices. To do this, we will use e-invoices that are created in the so-called "ZUGFeRD" format. This file format is a hybrid e-invoice format that can be read by the recipient like a PDF invoice and at the same time contains all the relevant data of an e-invoice.
